An Australian tourist named Kate Robertson, who religiously watches the hit TV series "Gossip Girl" was just visiting the Manhattan's Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City with the hopes of catching a glimpse of cast members Blake Lively and Leighton Meester taping at the said location. However, Robertson will suddenly be featured in an episode of the hit TV series after she was mistaken for an extra on the set. What a lucky girl, right?

According to reports, the 26-year old Robertson from Melbourne, Australia told the New York Daily News that she accidentally ended up wandering into the room of actors who were waiting to shoot a ballroom scene. She revealed that she was styled by the hair and make-up team and then spent the next six hours filming while she documented through taking pictures of her trip of a lifetime experience. "I just couldn't believe that I had gotten that far without anyone noticing," Robertson told the Daily News.

Robertson, who was wearing a casual maxi-dress and flip flops, was then whisked away by crew members to a beautiful cotillion ball set. She was later on approached by someone from the hair and make-up department and swept her hair up into a chic high bun. To make things more exciting for Robertson, she was just steps away from other "Gossip Girl" cast members like Chace Crawford and Michelle Trachtenberg.

"It was really amazing to see," Robertson said. "But it was tedious work. They did retake after retake," she added.

Paul Hewitt, the Senior Vice President of the CW Network's publicity department, said that he could not give any comment about the incident. However, he did acknowledge that fans often try to get a glimpse of taping the TV show.

"Fans show up at our things all the time," Hewitt told the Daily News. "Especially when our shows go out on location," he added.

Meanwhile, Robertson's lucky experience during her visit did not just end at the Waldorf Astoria. She also ran into actor Ed Westwick who portrays Chuck Bass, her favorite character, and even shared to the actor her little secret.

"I nearly died, I just couldn't believe it," Robertson said after seeing the show's consummate bad boy, who chuckled at the story of her adventure. Robertson, who is still visiting the Big Apple, says that she might try her luck again with another a New York-based TV show. So, what exactly is her next stop? Well, it is HBO's "Girls."
