Best Buy may start selling the Nexus 6P in the US
Best Buy will reportedly sell the golden Nexus 6P devices in the United States. The golden version of the Nexus 6P was first announced in Japan, and now it may start retailing in the US though the exact date is not known yet.
The Nexus 5X is already available through Best Buy and the Nexus 6P may follow suit. Customers will have to wait for the golden Nexus 6P variant to arrive at Best Buy brick-and-motor stores or through online, says Android Central.
Best Buy recently offered a massive US$80 (AU$111.46) discount on the 16GB Nexus 5X, as part of its Cyber Monday sales. The phones started rolling out in New York City on Dec. 5. You can still buy the Nexus 5X 16GB white and black models, but the 32GB models are now out of stock, reports GSM Arena.
Best Buy, a leading provider of tech products, is known for selling special coloured variants of electronic products. Google will use the opportunity to sell its golden Nexus 6P variants through the retailer.
Rumours are rife that Google may introduce the golden Nexus 6P variant at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2016 along with Huawei’s Honor X announcement, states 9to5google. Huawei recently launched the Honor 5X in China and now plans to extend its business endeavours to the US. The Chinese company has two press events scheduled for the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) on Jan. 5, 2016. Huawei is reportedly planning to launch the Huawei Mate 8 along with the Huawei’s Honor brand on the same day.
Google’s plan to bring the Nexus 6P to brick-and-motor Best Buy stores is a definite statement of the company’s intention to sell more Nexus devices.
