It has not yet been confirmed whether Bennett will have a recurring role or not. According to The Hollywood Reporter, for now, the actor is scheduled to appear in only one episode. It had been mentioned before that Howard’s father had abandoned him and his mother when he was eleven-years-old. The half-brother is the son of Howard’s father.

According to the spoilers leaked online, Howard will be surprised to find out that he has a brother when Josh shows up unexpectedly at his place. The spoilers reveal that Howard has inherited his mother’s house, as his father signed it over to him through an attorney.

Josh is a student of oceanography in San Diego. Like Howard, he, too, hates the father, as he had abandoned him and his family, as well, according to the spoilers. Also, it looks like he is quite like Howard when it comes to thinking about sex. The spoilers reveal that Josh wants to play catch but Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) tells him to wait while Howard suggests that he can use the robot for that. Josh thinks that Howard is suggesting it for sex.

In one of the previous seasons, Howard had created a robot arm and he did try to use it for handjob, which did not give him much pleasure. The robot-arm got stuck on Howard’s penis and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) had to take him to hospital. In the upcoming episode “The Fortification Implementation,” Howard will mention robot-arm again and his half-brother will think that is all one needs, which is what his elder brother would have said, according to the spoilers.

Josh is entering Howard’s life soon after the death of his mother. Ms Debbie Wolowitz, who was never seen on screen, died in her sleep at her sister’s place in Florida. The character was put to rest because Carol Ann Susi, who voiced Mrs Wolowitz, lost her battle with cancer last year. The episode 18 of “The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 saw the quirky group and Stuart having the final dinner cooked by Ms Wolowitz at her place.
