“Big Brother Australia” double eviction night has shocked not just two housemates, but the whole lot on Monday night. Unbeknownst to the group, two of them were up for eviction, leaving the rest of the housemates shocked at their double lost.

So who are the unlucky two?

First evictee: Rohan

This isn’t really a surprise. While the acting student has a very charming look, he failed to charm the viewers even from the start with his introduction video. The viewers were largely turned off when he bluntly said he didn’t value anyone’s, including his girlfriend’s, opinion. His eyes were on the big prize, which made him a target for eviction, at least according to the viewers.

His refusal to go in the ice-cold bath tub with Tahan in the Diary Room during Big Brother’s test was perhaps the nail that sealed his fate. If Tahan, a self-proclaimed princess who couldn’t live without her hair dryer, was able to withstand the cold water just to win a gourmet dinner for the whole team, then it shouldn’t be difficult for Rohan as well. But he gave up just after three seconds.

Also, as the boys of the house had put it, Rohan was the wildcard. They couldn’t read his true intentions, even suspecting him of being a mole at one time. However, he has also shown positive changes in the past week. Even the housemates thought he became a little more likeable.

The second evictee: Xavier

Now this one was a surprise. Like most housemates, Xavier has fans and detractors in viewers, but he didn’t create much drama to be feasted on by critics. He might have annoyed some housemates, but again, he wasn’t the most annoying housemate there is (perhaps some of the housemates would swear the title belongs to Mikkayla).

The property manager even has a growing fanbase on Tumblr after photos and videos of him playing with his band surfaced online. But perhaps viewers were tired of his constant grumblings, especially after constantly blaming Mikkayla for everything, who might annoy others inside the house, but still is generally tolerable, according to general viewers’ comments.

Xavier celebrated his birthday in the Big Brother house, and Big Brother gave him a nice footy-themed party for turning 28 inside. Unfortunately for Rohan, he celebrated his birthday by being evicted from the house.

He did have something from the house, though. He got a cool new haircut, thanks to Drew’s styling skills. So even though it was a short stay for the latecomer, it was at least a memorable one.

Facebook commenters weren’t happy with the results. Rohan was expected, but Xavier wasn’t. Tully, the social media strategist, isn’t very popular on the social media. She was noticeably gloomy at the Halfway house and had even thrown tantrums every now and then. Her sulking attitude wasn’t visible when she was in the Safe house, though, which, as Tim observed, just proved that she was acting up if things didn’t get comfortable for her.

A lot of comments from viewers online have been outraged at the result since they are expecting Tully to go. Some of them even cry “rigged” voting, but that’s perhaps difficult to tell for sure.

“Can’t believe Australia saved tully,” user Tori Forward wrote on Facebook.

Fiona Cairns added, “Wrong choice Australia… yet another week of Tully tantrums and tears, great!!!”

“Oh come on, the voting has to be rigged. Seriously!!!” Donna Irvine Mcleod cried.

Here’s the voting tally:
Rohan – 6%
Xavier – 10%
Tully – 14%
Tahan – 16%
Ben (tied) – 27%
Matthew (tied) – 27%

Tully won the third Showdown of the house on Friday night, which means she not only got $5000 in cash from Big Brother and had to spend a luxury night at the Presidential Suite with a chosen housemate (she picked Tahan), she is also going to be awarded a nomination superpower, which is still unknown.

Earlier, girl talk in the house became the source of girl fight. Tahan and sisters Katie and Lucy already aren’t in the best of terms, with both sides (the sisters are treated as one) voting each other off on nomination night. Things got heated with hair extensions (yes, a very serious topic for the three) when the sisters thought the black-haired beauty became insulting and mean.

That wasn’t the end of it, though. Before the eviction notices were announced, the episode flashed back to a scene where Tahan confided to a few people in the Safe house what she really thought about the sisters, and Mikkayla in turn told the sisters what Tahan said, resulting in more tears from the sweet twin-like siblings.

Tahan did try to talk to the girls to explain why she was a little antagonistic towards them a short while later. However, she and the sisters still did not come to terms in the end, only agreeing that they wouldn’t be the best of friends in the house.

Was Mikkayla right to tattle on Tahan, the very same girl who had saved her from eviction nomination a week before? Or should she have shown a little loyalty to the 24-year-old government worker since they were both original Halfway housemates?

Or perhaps it was just serving Tahan right for being mean to the Katie and Lucy?
