He will plead with Liz to find a mysterious man from his past, according to the synopsis of the episode. Nicholas Caul is the name of this man and he knows about the Fulcrum. For the task force, it will be race against time to track down this man, as Red’s life continues to be in danger. Meanwhile, it looks like Liz will be seeking Tom’s help and he is going to be helpful in an “unexpected way.”

The episode 18 saw Liz finding out that it is Red who had first hired Tom to enter her life. There are many more secrets between the two that Red has kept a lid on and according to the series creator, they are coming to light and a gap is developing between two.
In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bonkenkamp revealed, “the story of the Fulcrum and what it is and how its leveraged is front and center in this next episode.” He also revealed that Liz is going to find Red’s secret apartment that no one knows about. And in this apartment, she is not only going to discover some of Red’s truths but also find information about herself and their shared history.
