Bobbi Kristina Brown's Cousin Jerod Brown Arrested In Atlanta, Increased Family Worries
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s cousin Jerod Brown was arrested early Monday in Atlanta, after a traffic stop by a police who detected the “odor of marijuana” from his vehicle. This heightened the tension for the singer’s family, who were just finding out about the “reality” of BK’s condition after being in a coma for months now.
Police records showed that 27-year-old Jerod Wallace Brown-Carter was pulled over on Howel Mill Road at around two in the morning after the office detected the “odor of marijuana” coming from the GMC Yukon Brown was driving. Jerod denied the presence of drugs in his vehicle, but when asked for his Georgia driver’s license, he said he didn’t have it on him at the moment and opted to introduce himself as Jahraim Wallace Reid, 11 Alive reported.
In the records, the suspicious officer wrote that the name “did not appear to be valid,” as quoted by Atlanta Buzz, and after approximately an hour of investigating, he determined the driver’s real name to be Jarod Wallace Brown-Carter, which the driver in question eventually admitted. Further searching also yielded an active warrant out of Gwinnett County, Georgia, stemming from an earlier arrest. Brown was then arrested on charges of unlicensed driving and false representations to the police.
Last week, Jerod debuted his new single accompanied by a music video entitled “Pray For BK,” going by the stage name YF Kennedy. The song centers on his love for his cousin Bobbi Kristina, who has been in a medically-induced coma since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on Jan 31. The unconscious singer has been suffering from a number of seizures during her confinement at Emory University Hospital. The daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston has reportedly been transferred to an undisclosed rehabilitation center in Georgie for long term care, and remains on life support until now.
Regarding his cousin’s condition, Jerod has been active on social media, continuing to promote his music video and now on the lookout for a manager. He also previously announced a line of commemorative T-shirts.
