New details are emerging with regards to the potential revenue of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight in May in Las Vegas. Bob Arum, the veteran promoter and head for Top Rank Promotions, has said in a recent interview that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight is expected to generate about $74 million in ticket sales and overall revenue including pay-per-view, or PPV sales could surpass $400 million.

"It's crazy, but it is what it is. It's amazing,” Arum said in an ESPN.com article by boxing writer Dan Rafael on Monday. "We'll probably have a handful of tickets that will go on sale to the public next week.”

Immediately after the fight was announced Arum had stated that he expected demand for the tickets will be very high and that some people are willing to pay for expensive tickets to see the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Arum stated in early March that “ticket demand is the greatest” that he has every seen as a promotor and he even had offers of $100,000 for a ringside seat.

Arum also added that the fight will also earn big from foreign television sales including the markets from Mexico and Pacquiao’s home country, the Philippines. Meanwhile, HBO Boxing and Showtime Sports also posted on its Twitter accounts the official poster for the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout.

The Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight will be held on May 2, 2015 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and is expected to break ticket sales and gate attendance records as well as PPV sales of the fight. Thus far, the new details emerging is confirming that record numbers will be produced by the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.
