Call of Duty: Ghosts vs. Battlefield 4: BF4 PS4 Patch Update and Xbox One Hardcore COD Update Released
Battlefield's long-standing rival in the shooter games genre has probably one-upped its biggest competition, as Call of Duty: Ghosts released another update, this time for the Xbox One, which dealt with some key issues.
Activision first released an update for Call of Duty: Ghosts for the PS4 (the whopping 750mb hotfix), and a small update for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
OXM reports that, for the Xbox One, the fix revolves around two key features, fixing a number of bugs to make Call of Duty: Ghosts more stable and adding what is called a hardcore option to the Domination leaderboards.

Clan wars in Call of Duty: Ghosts
In order to keep the Call of Duty franchise fresh, the developers have released a new kind of mode, Clan Wars on Call of Duty: Ghosts' multiplayer mode. This will surely add another layer to enrich the entire experience.
Clan Wars is said to be an evolution of Clan Operations in Elite, a feature, which Beachhead Studios head John Linden told Digital Trends was sometimes used, but not fully explored.
In a Clan War, you launch an app that is paired with Call of Duty: Ghosts, make use of a map depicting areas in a map, and have eight clans fighting for the nodes in the map via a multiplayer game. For every node captured, clan members score XP boosts, so long as you take full control of the location. The team that wins the Clan War in the end will get the chance to customise their soldiers.

It's a cosmetic addition more than anything, but it does allow for gamers to keep playing Call of Duty: Ghosts.
"We like the idea of people focusing on winning matches, and that's where we've really stepped up a lot of the mechanics. We wanted to figure out ways to reward people for playing short-term and playing long-term, and adding this element of strategy that we kept hearing from the players that they wanted to add," said Linden to Digital Trends.
Battlefield 4's long-awaited PS4 update finally out
Following hot on the heels of Call of Duty: Ghosts is the promised PS4 update, which had been delayed for more testing.
According to GameSpot, DICE will follow this up with the PS3 update, in a short while after the PS4 patch has been released.
The Battlefield 4 PS4 update has been released in order to deal with the one-hit shot, which kills off players with just one shot instead of the required number of hits. It also deals with two more fixes integral to the game.
However, the report adds that DICE is now dealing with another issue in the game, one which is also experienced by players on a regular basis. This issue involves running over to the corner of a building and dying instantly.
*Until the issues with Battlefield 4 have been fixed, future projects have been halted: Read DICE's statement on what happens for the meantime with Battlefield 4 and its other games.
"We use a term called Interpolation in reference to where you are in the game world. There are instances where the death camera is initiated before the correct Internet packets have arrived to be interpolated by your camera," said DICE in a statement quoted by Gamespot. "This gives the impression that you were killed by 'one shot' as someone came around the corner of a building."
This new patch may have to wait a while, but DICE re-assures fans that they have already identified the issue and are working on the next update that will address this.
