Rainbow Mika is coming to "Street Fighter V." PlayStation Blog

The upcoming “Street Fighter V” is already marked as a title to watch from the long-running fighting series, featuring updated graphics in-game physics and a new V-Skill system. But like any other fighting game, what makes “Street Fighter V” great is its diverse cast of characters whose styles differs from each other.

Street Fighter V” is the first game to witness the fighting prowess of newcomer, Necalli. The new fighter’s style is different from the others as he solely relies on speed and ferocity while the others have to be played with perfect timing and technique. Fans should expect to see more new play styles as Capcom recently revealed that there are more newcomers to the game. Gamespot reports brand director Matt Dalhgren revealed new details on the game’s roster at the GameStop Expo in Las Vegas earlier today.

The game is slated to have a total of 16 characters when it launches in March 2016, half of which are characters that players usually see in the game including Ryu, Balrog and Ken. The other four are returning favorites from previous titles that weren’t seen in a long time. Dalhgren announced that the remaining four characters are slots for new faces; one of which is Necalli, meaning that there are three new characters still to be introduced to the franchise.

Capcom notes that more characters are going to be added to “Street Fighter V” post-launch as a DLC. Although Capcom is yet to specify the total number of characters for the game, it has assured that fans could see the return of their long time favorites as Capcom has given them the opportunity to vote on who should join the roster.

In a report by Realty Today, R. Mika, was added after she topped a poll made by Capcom in regards to who should come next. R. Mika first appeared in “Street Fighter Alpha 3” back in 1998, but she hasn’t appeared in any other titles since then. Despite her short time in the limelight, fans were still eager to see her back in the next game.
