‘Captain America: Civil War': Mark Ruffalo Talks Hulk's Appearance, Gives Update On Hulk Solo Movie
Not only is Spider-Man set to appear for a cameo role in “Captain America: Civil War” but he will reportedly also be teaming up with the Hulk in the sequel. Mark Ruffalo recently shared some details about his possible involvement in “Civil War” and also updates fans on his solo Hulk film.
Considering Mark Ruffalo’s contract with Marvel’s Cinematic Universe reportedly involves another four of five films, then per Comicbookmovie there’s the possibility of him returning to “Captain America: Civil War.” When asked during an interview with Collider if Hulk will be appearing in “Civil War,” the actor was a little adamant in confirming his involvement and said, “I don’t know if I’m in it yet. I don’t know.”
However, Mark Ruffalo did confirm that he’s in for another four movies and that contract with Marvel could even go up to five movies. The actor teased he could be appearing in any other Marvel film including “Avengers 3 and 4.” “I could do a Hulk standalone; I could do a combination of those things,” he added.
Captain America: Civil War” has reportedly been dubbed as “Avengers 2.5” or per Anthony Mackie as “Avenger 3.8.” With Ruffalo saying he could appear in “Avengers 3 and 4” then it’s a wonder if he also meant his return to “Civil War” as Hulk. But then again, during the interview the actor claimed he still doesn’t know where his character is heading in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he said “sometimes these things happen at the last minute in this world.”
Mark Ruffalo also told Collider that the Hulk solo movie is still up for reconsideration considering Marvel reportedly still doesn’t own the rights to it yet. The actor revealed the character is still Universal’s property so it’s still uncertain at this point whether the film will push through. Ruffalo said the new solo Hulk film will still be distributed by Universal if ever Marvel decides to push through with it. The latter could be a problem for Marvel’s parent company, Disney. However, according to Comicbookmovie, if Marvel found a way to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then they too can do the same with the Hulk.
