‘Castle’ Actress Stana Katic Gets Married In Real Life, And Not To Reel-Life Partner Nathan Fillion
Stana Katic, who plays homicide detective Kate Beckett in ABC’s popular series “Castle,” has got married in real life. And it is not to Nathan Fillion, the actor playing Rick Castle. She has married her long time beau Kris Brkljac.
US Weekly has reported that Katic and Brkljac tied the knot at a private family monastery on the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Katic’s rep. has said that the couple has been in a relationship for a long time. The report revealed that Brkljac is a business efficiency consultant.
The report has also published a photo of the couple’s wedding bands. It is a black and white photo and the wedding bands can be seen on the overlapping hands. There is no information on who all attended the private wedding ceremony and if anyone from “Castle” team was present or not.
It looks like Katic’s real-life wedding ceremony imitated her reel-life wedding. In the show “Castle,” Katic’s Beckett and Fillion’s Castle got married in an impromptu wedding ceremony, with only Castle’s mother and daughter and Beckett’s father attending it. For Caskett’s fans, it was one of the most anticipated moments that did not disappoint. The real-life wedding news is set to break their hearts.
Meanwhile, unlike her co-actor Fillion, who has signed on a one-year new contract, Katic is still negotiating with ABC Studios, the producer of the show. Both Fillion and Katic’s contracts are up for renewal after “Castle” Season 7 wraps up.
In an interview given in November, Katic told TV Line that for her it is art over finance and if they are creating “something that is compelling and that has somewhere to go, then we’re good to go.” The actress added that if they are not, then “it’s time for everyone to pack up and move onto the next thing.” According to US Weekly, Katic will be seen later this year in a new film called “The Tourist.”
There is still uncertainty surrounding the future of “Castle,” as ABC has yet to officially confirm that it has renewed the show for another season.
