Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelloti revealed that he tried to kill a Chelsea player during his stint at West London.

Ancelloti won the FA Cup and the English Premier League in his first season at Stamford Bridge, only to find himself departing to Paris Saint-Germain the following year because of failing to meet expectations.

Generally, he has not had any major problems with players' attitude in his tenure with former clubs which also includes AC Milan. However, one Blues player belonged to the exception.

"We've never had any problems with the players, just one time at Chelsea," Ancelloti told The Metro.

"One player didn't show respect and I tried to kill him but it wasn't possible."

"The player is the property of the club and sometimes you cannot do what you want."

The Italian left the said player's identity anonymous, but said that he had a "well-documented history of misdemeanours."

He further disclosed that he had to discipline former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba in one instance, which paved the way to improving their professional tie.

"One time Drogba arrived 30 minutes late for a game, so he didn't play, but the key is mutual respect," Ancelloti intimated.
