CD Projekt Red, the creator of the highly-acclaimed “The Witcher 3” has described its upcoming title “Cyberpunk 2077” to be much larger than its current RPG release. The game was first revealed in 2012, but the company has been quiet about its developments.

“The Witcher 3 helped Cyberpunk quite a bit, because the game got so big and so complex that it really taught us,” said Jose Teixeira, visual effects artist, to MCV UK. “The Witcher 3” became a jump-off point that allowed the developer to refine the open-world formula used in “Cyberpunk 2077.”

“Cyberpunk 2077” is based on Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk pen-and-paper system. CD Projekt Red CEO Marcin Iwinski terms “Cyberpunk 2077” as a mature role playing game for a mature audience. It will include realistic and brutal action set in a futuristic universe, GameSpot reported. It will also sport a huge arsenal of weapons, upgrades and other high-tech toys.

The upcoming game has very less details to understand the inner aspects of the game including a release date, although the game has been in the development phase since 2013. CD Projekt Red seems to be more focused with “The Witcher 3” currently and does not plan to talk about the game until 2017.

The game is currently making slow progress since much of the development team has been busy in completing “The Witcher 3” to release it on time. For now, the company is focusing most of its efforts on “The Witcher 3,” reported WCCF Tech.

“The Witcher 3” became the fastest selling game in the UK after its release in May this year, but sales dropped after “Batman Arkham Knight” was released on June 23, 2015. The game received huge praise from Gamespot including a rating of ten out of ten. CD Projekt Red has released several DLCs for free for the game and has announced an expansion titled “Hearts Of Stone.”
