‘Daredevil' Star Charlie Cox Wants To Cameo With Spider-Man In "Captain America: Civil War'
“Daredevil” star Charlie Cox has once again shared his interest in doing a scene with the new Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. However, this time the actor revealed his hopes of having a cameo appearance with the web slinger in “Captain America: Civil War.”
Charlie Cox, who plays as Matt Murdock in the Netflix “Daredevil” series, recently shared his expectations about his character during an interview with MTV News UK. The actor thought it would be great to see his Daredevil cameo in any of the films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, considering that in the comics his character also appears in “Captain America: Civil War” and the “Avengers: Infinity War.”
“Obviously I know now from my research that Daredevil exists in Civil War and existed in the new Avengers. He’s not a leading character, but even if he’s just in the background kind of like looking cool then I’d be happy with that,” Cox said when asked whether he would like for Matt Murdock to crossover to the MCU.
The actor also expressed his “great hope of being invited to the party [MCU].” However, he also shared his doubts on having a possible cameo appearance in either “Captain America: Civil War” or any of the two-part film “Avengers: Infinity War, since Marvel may choose to pick another actor to portray the Daredevil in the MCU crossover.
During the same interview, Charlie Cox also expressed his interest to work with the new Spider-Man. The actor revealed there’s a great comic book storyline between Peter Parker and Matt Murdock that he would want to see played out. “Matt Murdock has to defend Daredevil and 'coz of the public don’t know so he has Peter Parker put on his Daredevil outfit so that he can sit on the docks,” he explained.
Charlie Cox once teased the possible cameo appearance of Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man in Season 2 of “Daredevil.” When asked by Sreenrant which characters he would want to show up in the series, the actor mentioned Spider-Man and Elektra. He also gave the same comic book storyline as told to MTV News, as one of the best comic book stories he would want to see come alive on screen.
