Dimensions and Display
The Dell Venue Pro 8 (2016) measures 216 x 130 x 9.45 mm and weighs 377 grams, whereas the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 is slimmer and lighter than the Dell product, measuring 200.4 x 132.6 x 7 mm and weighing 322 grams.
The Venue 8 Pro (2016) comes with an 8-inch screen that supports a display resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. On the other side, the Mi Pad 2 comes with a 7.9-inch screen that supports a higher resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels.
Chipset, RAM and Storage
Both Dell Venue 8 Pro (2016) and Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 are powered by a Intel Atom Z8500 processor that clocks at 2.24 GHz. The Venue 8 Pro comes with 4 GB of RAM and internal storage of 64 GB whereas the Mi Pad 2 features 2 GB of RAM and native storage of 64 GB. Both the devices lack external storage support.
Camera, Software and Other Features
There is a 5 MP camera on the rear panel of Dell Venue 8 Pro (2016). On its front panel, there is a camera of 2 MP. The Xiaomi Mi Pad has rear and front cameras of 8 MP and 5 MP.
The Windows 10 OS comes preinstalled on both tablets. There is no support for GSM network and NFC on the Mi Pad 2, but the Venue 8 Pro comes with a micro SIM slot with LTE support. It also carries support for NFC. An optional stylus called Dell Active Pen can be separately purchased for $40 (AU$57). Both tablets feature USB Type-C slots.
Battery and Price
The Dell Venue 8 Pro (2016) is packed with a battery of 4830 mAh capacity, VR Zone reported. On the other hand, there is a massive battery of 6190 mAh capacity inside the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2.
The Venue 8 Pro with Windows 10 Home is priced at $399 (AU$575) whereas its Windows 10 Pro edition is available for $499 (AU$720). The Xiaomi MI Pad was launched with a pricing of RMB 1,299 (AU$285)
