In the latest round of weekly "Destiny" updates care of Bungie, the first announcement involves the latest update that should give fans a few loot before The Dark Below arrives. More than that, the update 1.03 has also introduced "bug killing agents," but it also may have nerfed a few weapons, as some players have noticed. Bungie, however, also assured that some of the weaker weapons will be restored. Apparently, it may have just been a mistake that the weapons got caught in the changes.

There are also some surprises for select "Destiny" players, particularly those who have the Ghost Edition, the Limited Edition, the Digital Guardian Edition, the Expansion Pass and The Dark Below DLC. Bungie announced that there will be an EV-30 TUMBLER, which is a brand new Sparrow for those who have the editions mentioned. Players who only purchased the DLC will be able to obtain the Sparrow once the expansion comes out on Dec. 9.

After the new update, the developer has also teased new features coming in future updates. One of these is the new array of Exotic weapons. There's a screenshot to give fans a sample of the goods in store, as seen in the link above.

"The economy of war in the City is being updated along with the rarest and most unique guns on your rack. Even the marks you've earned will have new buyers who hold what your arsenal craves," teased community manager David DeeJ Dague.

Beyond the updates, a new speculation has been brought up by Gamezone. Bungie recently released a free trial for "Destiny," but according to the report, this may not be a good sign for the title.

The source views this as a potential sign of decline for the game, especially since "Destiny" can be powered only by sharing the world with other players. What this means is that continuously playing "Destiny" requires active subscription and players for it to function. This is where the argument that "Destiny" is faltering begins.

Having a free trial for "Destiny" when the title has just been released reportedly seems to spell out a little doom for the title. However, there are also other reasons for this, the most positive of which is that Bungie may be looking for a new gimmick during the holidays to propel "Destiny."

Gamezone seems to be leaning toward the idea that the free trial may be Bungie's way of keeping more players active before the release of The Dark Below DLC. The developer did provide some information as to why they are doing the free trial--it's pretty much to sample "Destiny" and be able to bring the player's progress to the platform they'll be playing once they buy the full game.
