While the return of the Trials of Osiris had been an anticipated event for fans, an event that started out last week did receive the expected praise from “Destiny” players. Destructoid reported that the Iron Banner did not appear to improve in the ways that the developer meant for it to.

The multiplayer event is already set to close this week, but any changes or improvements that it should have had from Year One and after it was taken away to prepare for Year Two did not reportedly reflect in the latest run. According to the source, there are still issues with the loot system and the rewards were not worth the effort for the tasks.

There are only a few drops after becoming a rank five Guardians in the Iron Banner. And whatever items were dropped were not proportionally useful or important in relation to what the player had to accomplish. One “Destiny” player documented his experience in the Iron Banner. Some of the criticisms against the Iron Banner include Legendary items reduced to engram drops and horrible matchmaking and lagging.

A lot of fans are voicing the same discontent about Iron Banner in “Destiny”over at Reddit. However, Bungie has yet to give any hints that it is planning to conduct the drastic changes that the players are looking for after the Iron Banner’s return.

Bungie did try to address some of the questions that fans had regarding the Iron Banner in the latest Weekly Update. The developer is watching over the lag in the game, and has stated that it will issue a temporary restriction from Crucible those who are either manipulating network traffic or have very bad connection that compromises other players’ experience. Matchmaking-wise, Bungie is looking at improving the overall experience, with details set to come later in the coming weeks.

Fans who were also shaken because of a previous report that Tess will be selling King’s Fall consumables for Silver currency can rest assured. Bungie also confirmed that the datamined files were not meant to be sold. Rather, they are past files meant for Three of Coins that were no longer included in “Destiny.”

In the meantime, Bungie is also introducing the King’s Fall Raid: Hard Mode, happening on Oct. 23 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. According to the developer, this event will be a bit more of a challenge for Guardians. The recommended Light for hard mode is at 300 to 320, while the loot drops is placed at 310 to 320. The upcoming event may prove to be a better ride for players.
