Bungie's latest creation stands strong as the best-selling game in September, according to the latest figures by NPD. It appears that on the PS4, "Destiny" has been at its strongest, breaking records for the PlayStation digital.

The Destiny Blog reports that "Destiny" helped increase the PS Store's revenue by 90% compared on a year-on-year basis. This has further helped the PS4 to maintain in the top spot among consoles.

For "Destiny," however, the developer still has a lot of work to do, as the latest weekly update from Bungie suggests that they are looking at more things to patch and fix. First off, Bungie aimed to explain why some of the weapons received a slight decrease in terms of "deadliness."

According to Bungie, the reason goes back to Bungie's main aim for "Destiny," which is for players to become creative with the way they play. The fixes do not necessarily mean equality for the weapons, but rather that the weapons become unique in its own way, and that "Destiny" players will get to experience the title in a different way.

Some of the weapons that have received tweaks include the Auto Rifle, which was decreased by 2% for its base damage; the Scout Rifle, decreased by 6% base damage and Shotgun, which was decreased at maximum range. But that's not the end of the hotfixes from Bungie, as some areas of "Destiny" are bound to have their own tweaks.

The Mythoclast will receive an efficacy reduction while drop players who have beaten the Atheon on Hard mode will also have a chance to earn the achievement. This means that Bungie will adjust the base damage on Mythoclast by finding a value that will work for both the PVP and PVE, as currently, one is more affected than the other. Mythoclast's attacks will also be increased, with the attack value to be more effective in PVE.

Atheon will also be tweaked in another hotfix, with two main fixes being focused on:

- Adding "baby bumpers" to the areas where the players can knock Atheon out of the environment

- Addressing the bug where the boss is knocked off a ledge

As far as timelines go, Bungie only has "soon" to say to fans, but this may be due to the rather big update coming.

In the area of unconfirmed leaks, however, there's another leak that hints at what can be expected of the upcoming "Destiny" DLC, The Dark Below. According to IGN, there will be new items, armours, and new gears.

These new information have been spotted by a Reddit user, SwordofCrota, emphasising that there may even be a new event in the horizon called the Trials of Osiris. This new event will bring in new weapons like the hand cannon and the legendary sparrow, as well as a new emblem.

"Destiny" may also experience a new level cap increase and higher level strike playlist, as a raid spotted by the data miner suggests that the levels needed by the players to participate range from 28 to 32. It will be a whole new level of challenge for those who may be getting tired of the usual raids.
