Developers at Blizzard said that the problem with overloaded and crashed servers for the new Diablo 3 was fixed, and gamers may now reenter "hell".

It has been 12 years since Diablo 2 came out, and loyal fans are finally getting their hands on the latest Diablo game. However, excited gamers were greeted by error messages and crashed servers due to the overwhelming demand and login traffic.

"We're currently performing urgent maintenance in North America to resolve a variety of issues affecting the game. As a result of this maintenance, though, we anticipate that players will experience some interruption in communication, ability to log in, use of in-game features (like creating or joining games), and disconnections. This error may be a direct symptom of the ongoing maintenance," Blizzard reassured gamers in its forums.

Blizzard developers had to take Battle.net offline after 24 hours since launch as the server was not able to meet the demand of players. The errors experienced by gamers left fans disappointed. The problem became a trending topic on twitter followed with rants and complaints from users.

"Forget #error 37, I've graduated to #Error3006 when creating a character... Oh wait, now I have to get past #error37 again!!! @BlizzardCS," a gamer tweeted.

Another problem that the developers are trying to address is the difficulty of creating the characters. Blizzard is expected to resolve the issue within 24 to 48 hours.

Blizzard also posted, "while most of the character creation issues have been resolved, it's possible that if you attempted to create characters previously and did not log out, you may have actually maxed out your character list with "invisible" characters. If you are still receiving an error creating new characters, log out and log back in and then check your character list."

Diablo 3 became highly popular and is one of the most pre-ordered games of all times ahead of its launch in major countries. The game already surpassed its sales expectations and Blizzard had a hard time keeping up with the pre-orders like in Australia. Blizzard hoped that fans will still be able to enjoy the game when all issues are fixed.
