In exchange of increased rate in loot drops and smoother service, Blizzard made sure that Diablo 3 players will definitely work hard in finishing the game by toughening some of the monsters.

One of the significant changes in Diablo 3 brought about by the new patch 1.0.3 is the level of difficulty in Act 2, 3 and 4. Blizzard removed the bonus monster damage when in groups and thus, making it a little difficult in killing monsters. Moreover, Blizzard made changes to some of the very strong monsters and reduced their health.

Players will have to realize that cooperation and teamwork are no longer important in the game. With patch 1.0.3 monster damage won't go up with increased party members. They will still take more damage than usual, but they will not deal more damage.

Blizzard wants the players to work hard in the game; thus, they buffed some of the bosses. For example, The Skeleton King now spawns archers as most players could simply kite the adds; the Jailer now has Fast and Molten affixes and also Desecrator in Inferno; The Butcher incurs much damage with his fires.

Although the patch may affect the players differently, playing a full game of four players in Inferno mode is very difficult for some players and causes many repair runs and resurrections for players. The game is also expected to run more smoothly than before.

Blizzard confirmed in a tweet that two Canadian players cleared the hardcore Inferno. Blizzard community manager Bashiok tweeted, "My apologies Kripp and Krippi" he said, "looks like you were 1st HC Inferno clear. (my spreadsheet deciphering isn't what it used to be) Congrats!"

Diablo 3 avid gamers Kripp & Krippi have become the first gamers ever to beat the game's final boss on inferno difficulty in hardcore mode. According to Kripp, they decided to beat the game before Blizzard's 1.0.3 patch "nerfed" Inferno and made the bosses easier.

In his livestream, Kripp said that they wanted to finish the game at its hardest point possible. When the two heard that Blizzard will roll out the new updates, they knew that their time is running out.

Watch the video below of how Kripp defeated the toughened monsters and bosses in the updated Inferno of Diablo 3. The clip may contain spoilers.
