The "Hunger Games" is only a few months away. With only a few stills released on line and the whole set on lock down after the production all wrapped up, the film's take on the big screen is the only thing left for fans to quench their thirst and hunger on. So what's all this talk about Steven Soderbergh's work on set and rumors of how he blew it?

Apparently director Soderbergh is close friends with "Hunger Games" director Gary Ross. Ross contacted him to shoot a few scenes of the film which of course the director blatantly refused to reveal.

"It's true he's shooting two days of second unit," shares Ross in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "He's one of my best friends and we all help each other a little bit on these things."

Of course his close friend, director Soderbergh, reluctantly agreed. He even recalls the exact conversation they had over the phone.

"'Hey, first week of August, I got these two days of second unit, Is there any way you can come down and help me out? Because I'd rather have you do it than hire somebody who I don't know,'" recalls Soderbergh. "I said, 'Actually, that works out.' We'll just be finishing Contagion and prepping Magic Mike, and yeah, it could be fun."

So shooting did continue with director Soderbergh behind the camera and, boy, was he hyped and worried about not being able to deliver great results.

"If I'm shooting for me, I know when I've got what I want. But I'm shooting for Gary and I knew what he wanted and what the style of it was, but I was really nervous...I didn't hear from him for two weeks so I'm like, 'S--t!' And then finally he calls me and goes 'Oh, I'm so sorry I haven't called. I'm so happy with the stuff.' And I was really worried, like I blew it," shares Steven.
