DLC News Battlefield 4: Second Assault, Injustice: Gods Among Us Scorpion, The Walking Dead
Microsoft has done well for its Xbox One/Xbox 720, as one of its E3 2013 conference talk points includes the announcement of a time-exclusive DLC content for Battlefield 4, titled Second Assault.
According to Joystiq, Second Assault will have four maps that have been dubbed to be "fan favorites", slated for launch after the October release of the game.
At the E3 2013 conference, IGN also got a look o the gameplay footage, which supposedly showed the characters engaged in survival mode in a battleship, showcasing destructible environments just as in the game.
Battlefield 4, and presumably its DLC, will also be available for the PS4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. However, the dates for release have not yet been confirmed as to how long the delay will be or if he time-exclusivity for the Xbox One extends beyond Second Assault.
Scorpion gets released
After the announcement of the third DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us, Scorpion, the first character from Mortal Kombat and the third lined up following Lobo and Batgirl, will now be available for download starting June 11.
Polygon reports that Scorpion was a product of Jim Lee, an artist and co-publisher of DC Entertainment, as a nod to NetherRealm Studio's previous project.
For those who don't know who Scorpion is, he pretty much blends in with the Blackest Night crowd as an undead ninja. Those who have played Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe may have played him in battle.
Catch Scorpion DLC at the Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points or $5 and the PlayStation Network for $4.99. Season pass holders already have first dibs on the character and for free.
Surprise The Walking Dead DLC?
Last week came a barrage of The Walking Dead teasers, which was a total of four seconds-long Vine videos featuring missing persons and various days in the game.
Speculations have been raised for a possible Season 2 behind the array of teasers, but previous reports have also pointed to extra add-on or content before the actual release of a new game.
According to Eurogamer, the teasers may actually be for a DLC, as The Walking Dead 400 Days had appeared on the Steam database before the week was capped off. The database is still subject to changes, but a 400 Days DLC does coincide with previous on the expected "extra" content in between Seasons.
Given that the expected release of the Second Season is still in the fall, The Walking Dead DLC right around this time would alleviate the waiting.
