Injustice: Gods Among Us Special Releases: 2 New Skins Announced, 5 More Surprise Skins & a Patch
It's a busy, busy week for Injustice: Gods Among Us, with too many surprises than players can keep up with, starting with the surprise announcement of seven skins being announced throughout the entire week.
In the official Injustice Game Twitter account, the first skin to be revealed was none other than Blackest Night Superman. For Tuesday, the second skin is dedicated to Green Lantern's Red Son costume.
Keep a close watch for updates as to the succeeding skins, which will be made available for download. So far, the two skins have already shown up in Xbox Live, downloadable for 240 MS Points.
Hopefully PlayStation Store will follow suit sometime this week. Event Hubs reports that the Red Son 2 sets actually has costumes for characters including Flash, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Doomsday, and Deathstroke.
While this is well and good for a bit of alternative play, the report also details that the use of the costumes can sometimes cause glitches while playing.
Patch update now released
Part of the third DLC Compatibility Pack is the latest patch v1.04 released for INJUSTICE. Performance tweak and enhancements are addressed particularly in online battles as well as the necessary adjustments to characters.
Some of the patch details according to the official Injustice: Gods Among Us website includes, the added functionality for the recently announced third DLC character Scorpion (which has also been reported to be available for download), stability improvements, camera issues for Batgirl's Supermove, and other miscellaneous fixes.
As for the characters, improvements were made to four characters, namely The Flash, Hawkgirl, Killer Frost, and Deathstroke.
NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon has also announced in his Twitter account an added bonus that comes with the compatibility pack.
"Today's INJUSTICE update is complete! Compatibility Pack includes FREE DoomsDay CONTAINMENT SUIT costume! Get it!"
Scorpion character finally available
It really pays to be a Season Pass holder when it comes to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Immediately following the announcement of the third DLC character, Scorpion, a native of Mortal Kombat, will be joining the DC heroes and villains as the DLC character.
This is where it gets better for Season Pass holders, as they not only can download the DLC ahead of everyone else (non-Season Pass holders need to wait out until next week, June 11), it also comes free of charge, reports DLCentral.
So if you're a non-Season Pass holder, you have a week to save up and buy the DLC for $5 or 400 MS points on Xbox Live and $4.99 on the PlayStation Store.
