'Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires' getting ported to PlayStation Vita
Koei Tecmo has announced that “Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires” will be coming to the PlayStation Vita. The game will be a port of the version that came out on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Xbox One earlier this year. The port will also have a few exclusive new features, including Ad-hoc play with over Vitas and a new Raid Scenario mode.
The Vita version of “Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires” will come with all of the downloadable content, or DLC, that came out for the console versions of the action game, according to Gematsu. Most of the DLC include costumes for the numerous characters in the game as well as new environments to take battles in. A number of new story scenarios were also added to the game, all of which will be instantly available for the Vita.
As far as the exclusive features go, the new Raid Scenario will provide veteran “Warriors” fans a hefty challenge, one they can take with friends online. This new raid will give players special weapons and armour to defeat incredibly difficult foes. This mode will also have a “Special Rule,” though Koei Tecmo hasn’t described what that is yet.
Fans of the series will be able to try out “Dynasty Warrior 8: Empires” before it’s officially released for the Vita, as Siliconera has confirmed that two different demos of the game will be coming soon. The co-op demo will give fans the opportunity to try out the game’s ad-hoc play, and the edit mode demo has yet to be explained. The data saved in the edit mode demo can be transferred to the full retail version of the game once it’s released.
Currently, there is no release date revealed for the Vita version of “Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires,” although it’s likely that the game will come out sometime in 2016. Koei Tecmo is also working on a new video game based on the “Attack on Titan” anime and manga. The company has also teased that a new “Dynasty Warriors” game is in the works for the series’ 15th anniversary, though details about it have not been revealed yet.
