“Elementary” Season 4 from CBS is expected to premiere next television season, around September or October. John Noble is stepping in, while Lucy Liu’s Joan Watson becomes a legitimate partner for an entire season.

In the first episodes of “Elementary” Season 2, Watson and Joan (Jonny Lee Miller) were not exactly in good terms. As such the season had to build them up so they could become real partners again. This time, the new season is expected to begin with both Watson and Holmes on the same page.

“We’ve enjoyed his work for many years now — especially his tremendous run on ‘Fringe’ — and cannot wait to see him opposite Jonny and Lucy. It’s going to be an exciting season,” said “Elementary” program creator Robert Doherty, as published in a Variety report.

In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Doherty said there is no chance that Watson would revert from being a legitimate professional partner to a sobriety companion. Watson’s work now is all about the operations in Sherlock’s world, EW reported.

“Elementary” Season 3 also stars: Aidan Quinn and Jon Michael Hill. Ophelia Lovibond was the big guest in Season 2, as Sherlock took her under his wing so could have a structure in his life as a mentor.
