Mariah Carey recently visited Italy with Moroccan Cannon and Monroe Cannon, her four-year-old twin children with her estranged husband Nick Cannon. This is almost three weeks before the premiere of “Empire” season 2, in which the singer and actress will appear as a guest star.

Carey and her two children went to the Italian village of Portofino for a summer holiday. On Sept. 2, she was spotted eating pizza while enjoying an authentic Italian lunch in a pavement café with Moroccan and Monroe, according to Daily Mail.

Wearing some makeup, Carey hid her eyes behind a pair of large pattern-rimmed sunglasses as if she was trying to disguise her appearance while on summer vacation in Italy. She also wore a lightweight leopard print dress, a black cardigan and a pair of chunky black platform sandals.

After enjoying their Italian lunch, Carey, Moroccan and Monroe were seen leaving the pavement café with a handful of members of their entourage. The mother of two then treated her twins some Italian ice cream.

Recently, Carey wrapped the second leg of her Las Vegas residency. In August, Lee Daniels confirmed when the singer received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that she will appear as a guest star in “Empire” season 2, which is set to premiere on Fox on Sept. 23.

In an interview with People, Jussie Smollett, who is set to reprise his role as Jamal Lyon in “Empire” season 2, has nothing but praises for Carey. He said the “Real Husbands of Hollywood” alum is “a good human being and a really sweet lady.”

Joining Carey in the least of “Empire” season guest stars are Pitbull, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock, Al Sharpton, Andre Leon Talley, MoMcrae, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland and Becky G. Also, Andre Royo, Adam Busch, Adam Rodriguez, Marisa Tomei, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Ferrell, Raquel Castro, Jamila Velezquez and Yani Marin will play recurring roles.
