Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC players of “Fallout 4” are currently getting their hands on the first major update released by Bethesda. The patch fixes a lot of issues for the game, including the glitch that has helped players whenever they’re short on the in-game currency, bottle caps.

Several players took to Reddit to point out that the much-used bottlecap glitch has been removed with the patch 1.02 for “Fallout 4.” The glitch allowed players to gather an infinite amount of bottlecaps through several merchants within the game. This, in turn, allowed players to buy the most powerful equipment like the Big Boy early on in the game.

To begin, players need head in any vendor in Commonwealth. He or she should have along with him any type of ammo. It is recommended that the ammo to be used in the exploit is something that the player rarely needs.

Once a player has chosen his preferred ammo, he should try to strike a deal with a vendor. He should first select a similar ammo type from the vendor. Basically, if the player chooses to use a .50mm ammo for the glitch, he should look for a vendor who is selling the same. The player then needs to buy all of the ammo, but he should not finalise the deal by using the “accept ” command. Instead, the player needs to sell back one piece of the ammo to the vendor.

After reselling one ammo, the player needs to look at his inventory again. This time, he needs to sell all of the ammo. If one piece of the ammo remains in the player’s inventory after the transaction, that means that the glitch worked.

That one piece of remaining ammo could then be sold to the vendor continuously, and it will not disappear from the player’s inventory. The player should then resell this ammo as much as he wants, as long as he wants. After that, the player needs to buy back the ammo from the vendor again and again till he owes the player a ton of bottle caps. Once the vendor is deep in debt to the player, the latter only needs to buy all the items in the inventory of the vendor then finalise the deal by prompting the “accept” command.

Players who have yet to update their copies could still take advantage of the exploit, but they still need to download the app for stability purposes. The update fixes a lot of other issues, Gamespot reports.
