Features of new Apple iPhone 7 revealed - there won't be a physical Home button
The iPhone 7 will sport a new design that looks way different from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus
Despite the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus being released only last month, there’s already a lot of talk about the Apple iPhone 7 and its new features, with some believing the iPhone 7 won’t have the traditional Home button.
Many also guess that the iPhone 7 will be arriving with a new design and will be fitted with a Sapphire display...and all the speculations could be correct.
G for Games has reported that renowned Piper Jaffray analyst, Gene Muster, revealed that the iPhone 7 will sport a new design that looks way different from the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
The 3D Touch feature introduced on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will be further improved on the iPhone 7. The enhancement of 3D Touch will result in the removal of the physical Home button on the iPhone 7, which will make it possible for the iPhone 7 to continue with the same form factor as the iPhone 6s and still feature a bigger display and slimmer bezels.
The iPhone 6 from 2014 and this year’s iPhone 6s were rumoured to feature a Sapphire Display but that didn’t happen. Word has it the Sapphire Display introduced on the Apple Watch will be on the iPhone 7.
Axing the physical Home button will also mean that the Cupertino giant will change the placement of the Touch ID sensor. The Sony Xperia Z5 features its fingerprint sensor on one of its sides, and the iPhone 7 might also place the Touch ID sensor on one of its edges.
The iPhone 7 will have an upgraded LTE chip. It’s speculated to include the Intel 7630 LTE modem, Venture Beat reported. Lastly, the iPhone 7 will be able to deliver improved battery performance by reducing power consumption by the CPU and optimising the iOS.
