‘FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup’ Update Delayed With Unknown Release Date – EA
"The FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" update has been making quite the stir for fans, especially since the free update will supposedly "write history" with EA Sports' favorite franchise, "EA Sports FIFA 14."
Originally, Electronic Arts has officially announced that "The FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" update will be available to players by May 29. Sadly, at the last minute, an official announcement has confirmed that the update will be delayed.

The Xbox Hub was able to get in touch with EA Sports, and received the following reply regarding the delay:
"Knowing that our players have been so excited for these new modes made it a tough decision. However, as we progressed through final testing we encountered unforeseen issues that would affect all users who downloaded the update, so it's important to address them first before release. Our team is currently working hard to have the update ready to release in the coming days."
"The FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup" will give players the ability to build the ultimate team from all 32 National Teams that will be present in this year's tournament to be held in Brazil. In addition, there will also be the 32 National Team crests and kits, the Estadio do Maracana, official Adidas Brazuca match ball, and the changed feel of the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team.
The free update will also bring in the Online and Single Player tournament modes--separate and different from the Play-a-Friend mode, which is not available for the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team: World Cup--so you can compete via group stage and get to the FIFA World Cup.
Some Things to Remember About FUT WC
To get you ready once the free update becomes available, EA has also given a few guidelines and FAQs related to the update.
The first is that player trading is not allowed for the "FIFA Ultimate Team: World Cup" mode, as EA Sports stated that this will keep the experience as authentic as possible. But for every Gold pack purchased via the FUT World Cup equates to one free Gold pack to your FUT 14 game. In the same manner, the existing Club players in "FIFA 14 Ultimate Team" will not be transferrable to "The FIFA Ultimate Team: World Cup." Think of it as your players for the free update staying within that mode alone.
For the meantime, watch out for any updates for "The FIFA Ultimate Team: World Cup" update, as EA has promised to release more details for when it will become available.
