'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Alexis Bledel Wants Anastasia Steele Role [PHOTOS]

The moment every "Fifty Shades" fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. Fan favourite for the role of Anastasia Steele, Alexis Bledel, has opened up on the role. The "Gilmore Girls" star has seen the entire fan made videos of her starring as Ana and what has she have to say about all of it? Will Alexis Bledel soon star as Ana in the film adaptation of E.L. James best-selling erotica novel?

Universal Studios and Focus Features are busy searching for a suitable director for the movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey." The BDSM-themed novel has been set to debut in summer of 2014 but casting is still set to take place. As of late, even the script is unfinished and is currently being written by Kelly Marcel.

Of course, leave it to addicted and obsessed fans of "Fifty Shades" to name possible actors and actresses that could star in the film. A lot of rumours have been up on the web since last year but nothing has been set in stone.

Countless Hollywood actresses have been named as potentials to play Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." These "countless" lists include Emilia Clarke of "Game of Thrones", Eve Hewson, Allison Williams of "Girls", Alexis Bledel of "Gilmore Girls" and Emma Watson.

However, the strongest contender for the role of Ana is none other than Alexis Bledel. Despite early news that Bledel might not star in the film due to schedule constraints with upcoming television projects, Bledel continues to be a favourite for the role. In fact, there could be a slight chance Alexis could star in the film. In an interview, Bledel was asked about S&M plus "Fifty Shades of Grey."

"I really don't know what to say about that," stated Bledel.

"I have no idea. You know, I really don't know a lot about it except that fans have made a trailer online. I know as much as you know. I've seen what you've seen, and I've probably had a similar reaction to yours!" continued the "Gilmore Girls" star.
