Ever since the announcement was made that a film adaptation of "Fifty Shades" would be released by summer of 2014, fans have named countless stars that had the potential to play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

To date, more than a hundred Hollywood celebrities and models have been mentioned as suitable stars in the film adaptation. Yet, Universal Studios and Focus Features have not set anything in stone for now. Given a director is yet to be hired and an unfinished script, casting for the film will definitely take a while.

However, it seems that the long wait just might be over with the recent turn of events. News has it that a Christian Grey has already been cast earlier this week. Who would it be? The actor who had received the high honour of playing Grey is none other than Alex Pettyfer of "Magic Mike." The 23-year old star was said to have filmed a sex scene with Director Gus Van Sant which was to be used for the film, "Fifty Shades." Is all this true? From all the talk around the web, this could possibly just be another rumour.

Of course, the production studio was the first to state that casting is still far off schedule and that Pettyfer had not bagged the role of Grey. So what should fans expect with only a few months away before filming begins?
