Fans of E.L. James erotica novel have once again found a potential actor to play the part of Christian Grey. All thanks to former Disney stars' Zac Efron latest film, E.L. James' supporters have dubbed Efron eligible to play the part in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." The big question now of course is can Efron pull off the S&M role of the 27-year old entrepreneur?

Efron rose to fame all thanks to the Disney original movie, "High School Musical." Obviously, it has been a long way since that point in Efron's career and the handsome hunk has been landing grown-up roles. Just a few years back, Efron starred in the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel, "The Lucky One."

Vanessa Hudgens ex-beau certainly made eyes drool with his incredibly toned physique plus a hot make-out scene with co-star Taylor Schilling. Judging from that movie, Zac is definitely ready to pursue racier and sexier roles. Could the role of Christian Grey be the big break in Zac Efron's film career? Well, basing it all on Zac's films, it would be a big no.

Given Zac Efron admitted in an interview that he had trouble filming a sex scene in his current film, "At Any Price", the role of Grey would undoubtedly cause more trouble for Zac. Efron had to film a sex scene with 43-year old actress, Heather Graham wherein the 25-year old had suffered a bout of nervousness.

"I've been a fan of Heather's and had a crush on her since I can remember," explained Efron sheepishly in an interview with the New York Post, adding, "She's always been the epitome of that perfect girl. I wanted to get it right."

Still, some "Fifty Shades" fans insist that Zac Efron could pull off the part despite the baby-face look.

"Zac might be a bit too baby-faced to play a dark and disturbed man like Christian Grey, but he's certainly hot enough to get the ladies' pulses racing. He also proved that he can probably handle shooting the many awkward sex scenes in 50 Shades - after letting Nicole Kidman pee on him in The Paperboy, stripping down and spanking a woman should be a piece of cake," reports Gather Entertainment.
