'Frozen Forever' Sneak Peak: Disney Shows Off Scenes From The Short Film Coming Out March 13
Moms and dads all over the world would not be getting any respite from the “Frozen” fever after all. Just when Anna and Elsa are presumed to be living happily ever after, Disney has announced the release of a spinoff to the highly successful film. The short film is titled “Frozen Forever,” and Disney has just released a series of photos showing scenes from the animated feature.
“Frozen Forever” revolves around Anna’s birthday celebration, and the photos show a large outdoor setup for what appears to be a banquet in honour of the princess. Five stills in total were released an in one photo; a large banner hangs above the party setup and reads: “Happy Birthday Anna.”
In another picture, Olaf is seen naughtily munching away at the birthday cake even before it is sliced for dessert. The film’s co-director Jennifer Lee shared the story in an interview with USA Today. She said that Elsa is planning a birthday party for her younger sister but things don’t go smoothly when Elsa gets a cold.
“Elsa doesn't get a cold in the usual way. She's special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc." The cold apparently throws Elsa’s superpowers on the wayside and the party plans go haywire.
Aside from Anna, Elsa and Olaf, the gang will also be joined by Kristoff and his pet reindeer, Sven. All five could be seen in a portrait shown in one of the five stills. A very unruly-looking Anna is also shown in another photo with Elsa appearing to be waking her up on the big day.
Almost as popular as the film itself, the original film’s theme song “Let It Go” has become a worldwide hit. This time around, the pair behind the Oscar-winning song is at it again. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have created another song, which could possibly go around like a broken record again if kids latch on to it like they did with “Let It Go.”
The seven-minute film is expected to air in theatres as a feature ahead of Disney’s live action short film “Cinderella.” The remake of the old Disney classic will be out in theatres on March 13, and “Frozen Forever” will be a special treat for moviegoers.
