Design-wise, the two devices are quite similar in a myriad of ways, with Galaxy Note 3 a bit rectangular. Basically, the bigger 5.1-inch display of Galaxy S5 brought this flagship device closer to the size of Galaxy Note 3. One notable difference between the two is the fingerprint scanner located at the physical home button of Galaxy S5. Although the two devices are almost alike in terms of thickness and weight, Galaxy Note 3 is still larger.

You get the same 1080p Super AMOLED display with the two smartphones. The only difference is the screen size. Galaxy Note 3 is slightly bigger bringing a difference in the pixel density at 432 ppi and 386 ppi.

Galaxy S5 features the best in processing packages in the market with 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU while the Galaxy Note 3 has 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 330 GPU.
