Samsung has launched a child-friendly version of the Galaxy Tab 3, packed specially made for the rugged hands of the little kids.

In time for the holidays, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids release date is Nov. 10, available at $299. This tablet for kids is akin to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0. It features a bright orange bumper aimed more to the most enthusiastic preschooler.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids proves competitive in terms of its internal specifications - dual core processor, HD screen and apps. This tablet features "kid's mode" with a unique UI that is perfect for kids which will keep them from changing significant settings. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids can be used in its "normal mode" via a PIN, which means the tablet can also be used as a regular tablet.

This is the tablet for the tech savvy young ones with its slew of educational games, wide-array of child-friendly educational apps and e-books. This device comes with pre-installed games like Kids Planet Discovery, Where's My Perry and Fruit Ninja. On the hardware side, there is a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, rear and front facing cameras and 8GB of internal memory that is expandable via micro SD slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids features a parental control allowing parents to inhibit kids to explore certain Web sites that are inappropriate. A timer can also be set that will lock the device automatically after the predefined period. As such, gaming and tablet use can be predetermined by the parents and overuse can be avoided.

The release date for other countries will still be announced. But you can have the child-friendly tab by pre-ordering.
