‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Unrecognisable As She Makes Her Runway Debut At Paris Fashion Week
She is best known as the sword-yielding warrior Brienne of Tarth in HBO's popular series “Game of Thrones.” However, on Saturday at the Paris Fashion Week, Gwendoline Christie hit the headlines when she made her runway debut for Vivienne Westwood. The actress stunned everyone with her almost unrecognisable look.
Towering over other models, the 6 feet 3 inches tall Christie, 36, rocked in her cameo appearance on the runway. She donned two outfits at the show [Check the outfits here]. She first wore a gray pantsuit partnered with a black overcoat ensemble, topped with an oversized khaki hat, and later changed into a loose-fitting black dress over printed tights and knee-high boots, Page Six has reported.
Westwood, who spoke to reporters before the start of the show, revealed that her Ready-To-Wear Fall-Winter 2015-2016 fashion collection has an unisex theme. The clothes at his fashion show on Saturday reflected the theme, as male models were wearing dresses and veils while female models appeared on the runaway wearing suits.
"What I'm saying by doing this unisex is that we're all human beings and that women are not more human than men. We've all got a human humanity, and I think it really does put something into the public debate," Westwood said, as quoted by UPI.
Westwood’s team also shared a backstage moment photo of Christie on Twitter. The British actress had previously modeled for Polly Borland, and is set to appear in Season 5 of "Game of Thrones," which is scheduled to air in April.
