Many users are unhappy with the recent installment of the popular video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare based on the user score and reviews in review site Metacritics.

The game received favorable reviews and got a 90 out of 100 score in Metacritics. However, user scores ripped the game apart with an "unfavorable" 1.5 out of 10 rating. Some users say that there is nothing new to game and the plot became stale and boring. Other games like Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception have received higher metascore and user score.

Thousands of fans and gamers rushed to video game stores to get hold of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Apple-like midnight release of the much-anticipated video game Modern Warfare 3 was truly a success after an overwhelming number of fans went out to buy the game.

According to EBGames, Modern Warfare 3 has the biggest presales for any game. However, final sales record was not released yet.

As reported by the Sydney Morning Herald, Modern Warfare 3 will come close to being the highest selling game ever. The top two record holders for the fastest selling video game globally are both from the Call of Duty series. Call of Duty: Black Ops generated $650 million in the first five days of it going on sale while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 did $550 million.

Call of Duty has a cult-like following. The game has a single-player and multi-player mode. The single-player mode could take "anything from 4 to 10 hours" to complete, while the multi-player mode could last for however long you wanted as you were playing against people online and the scenarios constantly changed.
