Google Nexus 2015 Release Date Update; Huawei Nexus 2015 Arriving This Fall

Over the last couple of months, there have been a lot of rumors about the 2015 Nexus smartphone. In February this year, rumors claimed that Google was to launch two Nexus smartphones this year -- one device to be manufactured by LG and a second one by Huawei. The existence of a Nexus handset made by Huawei was reportedly confirmed by an unidentified Huawei U.K. employee, but since then there has been no further details concerning the same.

According to Phone Arena, Google is partnering with Huawei to gain more recognition in smartphone markets within the Western markets such as U.S. and U.K. The priority of Huawei is to build its brand in such markets where it seems to be struggling to gain popularity and take control over competitors.

It is from this perspective that Huawei is supposedly trying to establish itself by designing and building the Nexus 2015 smartphone set to be released sometimes this fall. Nonetheless, there would be no way that Google would offer such kind of help without reaping any benefit.

It has been revealed that, in return, Huawei, the telecommunications giant, will instead help Google with design of an Android app store within the China territory. That’s a win-win situation and a brotherly help considering that Google services such as Google Play are not even available in China where the presence of this giant search engine has almost been reduced to somewhat near absence because of what is considered as government regulations, The Verge reported.

Due to absence of an official app store dedicated for Android in China and China being the biggest market of smartphone in the world, users get their apps from some third parties such as Tencent Holdings and Wandoujia.

As of this writing, there has been no further comment on this kind of arrangement and what people have to do is waiting until it is clearly announced and confirmed.

Rumors say the Huawei Nexus 2015 phone is codenamed Angler, and is expected to have 5.7-inch screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip. Even though the rumor mill is talking about LG and Huawei variants of Nexus 2015 smartphones, Google has not released any information on its upcoming flagship.
