OnePlus 2 will be officially announced on July 27. The Chinese smartphone maker is slowly rolling out information on the confirmed features of the OnePlus 2 flagship. At the same time, even the rumor mill is revealing a lot of details on the handset.

After OnePlus 2 announcement in this month, the smartphone is going to face serious competition from major flagships like the Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S Plus and many more. Hence, the manufacturers are making good efforts to release the OnePlus 2 with advanced specifications.

During a recent Reddit OnePlus AMAA session, it was revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be smaller in size than the predecessor model. The OnePlus 2 measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm. Since the OnePlus 2 will be sporting a metallic chassis, it is going to weigh 165 g. It will come fitted with a 5.5 inches full HD screen.

OnePlus has confirmed that the device will be powered by an upgraded version of Snapdragon 810 that will not encounter overheating problems. It has also confirmed through its official Facebook page that the flagship will come with 4 GB LPDDDR4 type of RAM.

There is no confirmation on the camera of the device. However, rumors suggest that 16 MP camera will be sitting on the rear side of OnePlus 2. The handset will arrive in three variants, A2001, A2002, and A2003. There will be one model for the Chinese audience, one of the North America and another one for Europe and Asia, reported GSM Arena.

One of the salient features of the OnePlus 2 will be its USB Type-C connector. It will be the very first smartphone to launch with the new kind of USB connector. The handset will deliver robust security through a fingerprint scanner placed below rear camera of the device.

OnePlus 2 will be equipped with a massive battery of 3,300 mAh capacity. As far as the pricing of the device is concerned, the OnePlus 2 pricing will be lesser than $450, confirmed Pete Lau, the CEO of OnePlus on Twitter.
