Google Nexus 2015 release date update: LG Nexus 5 2015 and Huawei Nexus 2015 specs surface
More details on the Google Nexus 2015 smartphones are surfacing gradually. Fresh information again suggest that Google will be unleashing a 5.2-inch LG Nexus 5 2015 as well as 5.7-inch Huawei Nexus 2015 phablet.
Steve Hemmerstoffer, who holds the @onleaks Twitter account, has revealed fresh information on both the smartphones. He is well-known for revealing accurate specs of the smarpthones that are slated to get unveiled soon.
He has tweeted that the LG Nexus 5 2015 will be coming with a 5.2-inch display, front-facing speakers, and fingerprint sensor on its rear and USB Type-C connector. It may sport a metal body and it measures 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8 mm. Phone Arena claims that it may not come with a full metal body but may rather house a metal frame.
Another tweet from him reveals that the Huawei Nexus 2015 will be housing a 5.7-inch display. It will also arrive with speakers on its front panel, a fingerprint scanner on its scanner and USB Type-C connector. It will be equipped with metal chassis and its dimensions are 159 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5 mm.
According to Phone Arena, since the thickness of both the Nexus 2015 smartphones are mentioned in two numbers, it is an indication that the handsets will be coming with a curved construction. The smaller number indicates the thickness towards the sides of the handset, whereas the large number indicates the thickness on its center portion.
The newly leaked photos of Huawei Nexus 2015 reveal that it will be sporting a protruding camera. It also suggests that the handset will have a curved body with varying thickness. Also, both Nexus handsets are expected to feature the Android M OS.
As of writing this article, there is no confirmation from Google on the existence of two Nexus smartphones for this year. Since the rumor mill suggest that Huawei and LG variants of Google Nexus 2015 smartphones will be released in October, more information on both the handsets are expected to surface soon.
