Gorgeous Kickstarter RPG, ‘Little Devil Inside’ Announced With Trailer
“Little Devil Inside” is an intriguing action adventure RPG currently doing the rounds on Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight. Featuring strange creatures and bizarre monsters in a surreal yet familiar setting, the game sees players take on the role of a college professor investigating paranormal activities.
The first thing most gamers will notice about indie RPG “Little Devil Inside” is how strikingly beautiful the stylised visuals are. A three-minute video on the official “Little Devil Inside” YouTube page gives gamers their first glimpse at this strange new world. While the trailer features pre-alpha gameplay, it’s surprisingly polished and hints at an atmospheric adventure full of mystery and intrigue.
"Journey through the wilderness – explore cities, forests, mountains and deserts. Meet with new characters, hire assistants, camp & rest, take cover from Mother Nature and even meet with other players," reads a post on the game’s Steam Greenlight page, where players can vote for the title.
Players will be able to find, buy trade and earn new weapons and armour. They can also upgrade their swords and rifles and even earn vehicles that can be upgraded and used for party travel. The developers list games like “X-com,””System Shock,” “The Legend of Zelda” and “Betrayal at Krondor” as influences and touchstones, but promise that “Little Devil Inside” will offer a new and unique gaming experience for action adventure RPG fans.
Created by an indie development team called Neostream, “Little Devil Inside” is a Kickstarter project with a goal of $250,000. As of this writing, the team has pulled in over $40,000, and still has more than 40 days to go to hit its goal.
The cost-of-entry for backers who want to get a copy of the game starts at $25, a pledge tier limited to 800 backers which offers a copy of the game, desktop wallpaper and digital manual. The game is slated for release on PC in June 2016, no console versions have been announced.
