It pays to be a loyal fan of Rockstar Games' long-running and epic game "Grand Theft Auto." Those who have already enjoyed the title on last-gen consoles PS3 and Xbox 360 and are back for more on the PS4 and Xbox One will have the chance to nab exclusive rewards.

Rockstar Games announced via the Newswire that there will be special items coming with the next-gen versions. "We've created an array of exclusive items specifically for these players--with each of them connected to activities designed for you to experience the game's massive world in new and exciting ways," Rockstar said in an official statement.

First off, there are new events and challenges in the form of the Imponte Duke O'Death and the reward of a Dodo seaplane. Take part in the murder mystery that Michael takes on. There will be an unlockable Noir Style filters to make the Story Mode look like it was taken off a classic crime flick.

More weapons are also coming, such as the Rail Gun and the Hatchet, with the former having its own set of Shooting Range Challenges for players to indulge in. New vehicles are also rolling in; players can find the Cheval Marshall monster truck for land and the Blimp for air travel. There's also a new fleet of classic GTA vehicles coming via a bounty.

Best of all would be the fact that returning players who are also members of the Social Club will be able to pick up their progress from their "GTA V" PS3 or Xbox 360. The players need to be on "GTA Online" but they can choose which platform they want to continue their progress on. However, its best to choose wisely, as transfer of progress can only be made once. After that, players can still continue playing on the old version, but the progress won't be shared or synced with the newer one.

In preparation for the launch, however, Rockstar has already announced that there will be an ongoing maintenance, which will last for seven hours and will affect the online features of Rockstar Games. PlayStation Lifestyle reports that some of the features that will be affected include The Social Club website, "GTA Online" and other online features. For those who still want to stay up-to-date with the news, the support page and the official Rockstar Games website will remain online.

Apart from the exclusive features coming to PS4 and Xbox One veteran players of "GTA 5 Online," Microsoft has also listed "GTA V" and other installments of the franchise as part of its weekly deals for the Xbox 360. Major Nelson has announced this via his official blog, where he detailed a full list of upcoming discounted games besides "Grand Theft Auto." Though the Xbox One only offers "Battlefield" and "Titanfall" discounted games, the Xbox 360 has both the "GTA V" and "GTA IV" games at 50% and 75% discount, respectively.

The confirmed remastered edition of "GTA San Andreas" also joins the weekly deals, as it will be made available for both Xbox Live Gold and Silver members until Nov. 10. For add-ons, there's "GTA IV: The Lost & Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony," which are both offered at a 75% discount.
