One of the upcoming games that will be debuting during the holiday season is "GTA V, and already fans are excited to see this compelling title in the next-gen format. And for PS4 fans, there is an extra function that they can enjoy via the DualShock 4.
Gamespot has listed down some of the new features that are exclusive to the PS4's controller. These includes the following new functions:
- DualShock 4 speakers will have phone calls and police radio sounds
- The touch-pad lets you access GTA Online's interaction menu
- Swiping up or down the touchpad will change weapons
- Swiping left or right the touchpad will change the radio station
- When you're put in a Wanted level, the light bar on the DualShock 4 will light p in red and blue alternately
So far, the PS4 is the only platform to have any unique capabilities in terms of the controllers. The Xbox One does also feature the first-person mode, for those who will be playing via Microsoft's next-gen console.
4K Support For PC Version
Though the bigger news for "GTA V" is that it will now feature a first-person mode for the next-gen versions, those who are getting the PC version can also expect 4K Support. PC Gamer reports that "GTA V" will be at a 4K resolution for the PC version, which puts it as the best version in terms of visual appeal.
For this to happen, the developer reportedly needed to rework the game's movement instead of just using a new camera in one of the character's heads. It also means new animations have been done, especially with the way that the first-person view was added in the mix. Now fans are assured of even more beautiful sights in Los Santos and beyond.
Soundtrack CD And Vinyl Records Slated For December
Apart from the "GTA V" on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, Rockstar Games confirmed via the Newswire that it will also be releasing limited edition collections of the soundtrack of the title. More importantly, these will available in both the CD and vinyl record version.
The collection will contain 59 tracks from the likes of Flying Lotus, Yeasayer, Wavves, The Creator and more for the original music, while the original score will feature some of the works by Tangerine Dream and Woody Jackson, among others. Since this is a limited edition, there will only be 5,000 units produced worldwide, and these will be available either online or in record stores come Dec. 9.
Fans who will be getting the vinyl collection will get six vinyl records with a full colour booklet and exclusive lithograph poster in a classic box-set. These are pictured in the link above. Those who will opt for the CD collection will get three discs with the following add-ons: a branded "GTA V" gold brick USB drive, artwork, poster and a special die-cut packaging.
