Sony Online Entertainment's survival MMO title "H1Z1" still has not seen the light of Steam Early Access, but the developer has assured fans that they are progressing with the title. In one of the more recent dev blog updates that SOE has released, the team behind "H1Z1" has shown off some new shots and looks of one of the more crucial aspects of the game: water towers.

In the aim of making "H1Z1" even more of a realistic survival game, the developer has made it so that even the supply of water will play a crucial part in the overall dynamics. But beyond being sources of water, the "H1Z1" team has also noted that water towers also serve another purpose in the game--a meeting place for friends.

But it appears that testers have run into a common problem, which involves being in different areas of the map despite going to similar looking water tower markers. Because of this, the "H1Z1" team revealed via the official blog that they had ensured more distinct-looking towers throughout the map.

One reason that water towers are becoming a big part of the map is that they are one of the points of interest in "H1Z1." These are point-places where you can meet up or which can serve as markers when you're already trying to survive in an unfamiliar world. Check out the screenshots of the different water towers side by side and a series of game snapshots that show them off in their environments in "H1Z1."

Truly "H1Z1" is still one of the more interesting titles that's slated to debut on the PS4 and PC. Granted, the developer still hasn't revealed their plans for Early Access, but with demos of the title being playable in different events, fans have started to see a number of improvements and dynamics in the game.

Previously, Game Informer has reported handling a demo where an experiment was conducted on how the H1Z1 virus actually works in the game. It was found that there are stages of transformation from the time you are bitten to Stage 5, where death awaits. Apparently, the source confirmed that the stages between bite and death proved to be interesting, if only because you see what a zombie sees as you slowly turn into one.

Player feedback has played a major role in the conceptualization and development of "H1Z1," as evidenced by how SOE has recently acceded to some of its player feedbacks. According to Segment Next, senior game designer Jimmy Whisenhunt has confirmed that, following player feedback on giving players more challenge in the game, the "H1Z1" has removed the axe as a starting weapon for when a new character spawns in the game. "H1Z1" may not have a release date yet, but at least the developer is already listening to fan feedback this early in the development.
