Halloween Prank On Ellen DeGeneres Show: TV Host Gives ‘Modern Family’ Star Eric Stonestreet Early Halloween Scare [WATCH VIDEO]
"Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet made a guest appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" with his bodyguard friends to make sure the TV host will not scare him again. However, the 43-year-old actor still received an early Halloween scare because Ellen DeGeneres came up with another way to prank her celebrity guest.
The video of Ellen's early Halloween scare on Eric Stonestreet was shared on YouTube last Sept. 23 and it currently has over one million views. In the video, Ellen DeGeneres initially showed the audience a video clip of Eric Stonestreet getting pranked on her show before calling her celebrity guest out.
The clip showed the "Modern Family" actor getting scared from a haunted hallway and Ellen's production staff dressed up as a clown and a dog. Eric Stonestreet came out with two guys who kept on looking around and checking the area.
The actor explained to Ellen that the two guys are his best friends, Paul and Stacey, who will check the perimeter and warn him if someone will come out to scare him. "If you see anything -- a guy in a dog costume, a clown costume, a transparent 1930's girl with a rag doll floating in the air -- don't hesitate to interrupt me," Stonestreet instructed his bodyguard friends.
Ellen DeGeneres assured Eric Stonestreet that nobody will come out and his friends could stay at the back. The "Modern Family" star had no idea that Ellen's prank was just close by.
In the middle of the interview, a clown suddenly popped out from the nearby prop coffee table and gave Eric Stonestreet a good scare. Afterwards, the actor declared that he is never coming back on the show and Ellen just lost one of her favorite guests.
"Good job! Way to go guys! I'm almost crying!" Stonestreet further stated in the video. Watch the video below of Eric Stonestreet getting pranked again by Ellen DeGeneres.
On Twitter, Ellen DeGeneres joked about her prank on guest Eric Stonestreet. "I've scared @EricStonestreet so many times, he brought bodyguards with him. So, I had to think out of the box," the TV host shared to her followers on her Twitter account @TheEllenShow.
