'The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Elijah Fights Mikael, Klaus Meets Cassie In Episode 2 Titled ‘Alive and Kicking’ [WATCH PROMO VIDEO]
It has been stressed in the ending scene of "The Originals" Season 2 premiere episode that a Mikaelson family reunion will happen soon. A promo video released for the upcoming second episode of the CW spinoff series titled "Alive and Kicking" teased that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) will have an interesting meet up with Mikael (Sebastian Roché) and Esther (Alice Evans), who currently poses as teenage witch Cassie (Natalie Dreyfuss).
In the promo video, Elijah is shocked to see his father, Mikael, back from the dead. The meeting between the father and son ends up in an intense and bloody fight scene. "It's an interesting turn of events," Mikael stated.
If Mikael is around, expect Davina (Danielle Campbell) to be close by since the young powerful witch controls the Original vampire hunter. According to a TV Fanatic report, the synopsis for "The Originals" Season 2, episode 2 revealed that Davina will be working hard in discovering the spell that can protect the people she cares about because if Mikael kills Klaus with the White Oak Stake, every vampire sired to the Original hybrid will also die.
The ending scene of the promo video shows Klaus and Cassie finally meeting up and their conversation is not a pleasant one. "That's a lofty goal for a teenage girl," Klaus said to Cassie without knowing that he is talking to his mother, Esther. Have a look at the promo video below.
Meanwhile, executive producer Michael Narducci revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that the main theme of "The Originals" Season 2 is the return of the Mikaelson family members. "That's the big theme of this season: the past returning to haunt you - enemies who are even more dangerous because they know you intimately," Narducci explained.
Finn and Kol Mikaelson came back from the dead in the body of Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood) and Kaleb (Daniel Sharman), respectively, in "The Originals" Season 2 but it does not mean that the fans will no longer see the originals actors who portrayed the characters in "The Vampire Diaries." Michael Narducci teased that there will be a lot flashback scenes in the new season and Aussie actor Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol Mikaelson) will make a flashback appearance in the second episode.
As for Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt), the executive producer assured the fans that they will still see the blonde vampire as well as Hope Mikaelson because of what Esther's plan really is for the hybrid baby. At the moment, Esther thinks the baby is dead and she has no idea where Rebekah is.
However, Michael Narducci teased that Esther will still come up with a plan that the fans will find out in the second and third episode of the CW TV series. "The Originals" Season 2, episode 2 titled "Alive and Kicking" will air on Monday night, Oct. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
