‘Halo 5: Guardians’ fan creations recreate ‘Star Wars’ Hoth map, ‘Metal Gear’ base and ‘Banjo-Kazooie’ Spiral Mountain
This year, fans have seen the rise in many creations following the release of some blockbuster games. Previously, there have been tons of worthwhile mods for “Fallout 4” to choose from. Now, a new collection of fan recreations sees some new locations from other games recreated in “Halo 5: Guardians.”
There is a little something for “Metal Gear Solid” fans, “Star Wars” enthusiasts and fans of 90s game “Banjo-Kazooie.” These locations from other games were recreated using the Forge mode recently introduced in “Halo 5: Guardians.”
“Star Wars” Battle of Hoth map
Fans who were still reeling from the twist in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” or even EA’s newest “Star Wars Battlefront” game do not have to contain their excitement within the franchise. In the Forge mode of “Halo 5: Guardians,” a Redditor has recreated the Battle of Hoth map.
Twinfinite sighted the creation, stating that the map has the icy horizons as well as AT-AT all over the place. When creating the AT-AT, the Redditor reportedly used almost half of the budget in Forge mode. This is due to the limitation of objects on a Forge map to avoid eating into the gameplay performance.
This version of “Star Wars Battlefront” is far from the original, but it does present a way for Halo fans to also play the game that they like in the “Halo 5: Guardians.” It is also a great way to customise the map via Forge mode, as it is the game’s way of having weapons and vehicles that are not originally in the “Halo 5: Guardians” map.
Shadow Moses base from “Metal Gear”
“Meal Gear Solid” fans can get their very own Shadow Moses base recreated in “Halo 5: Guardians.” This was already done by Redditor Bearskopff, and according to GameSinners, it’s a pretty good replica of the original “Metal Gear Solid” site.
Over at Imgur, the creator has showcased a couple of screenshots for the Shadow Moses base. The first screenshot shows the weapons disposal facility on the island. Bearskopff has also recreated the Shadow Moses helipad, the main surroundings and the elevator. Unlike the “Metal Gear Solid” game, however, there is no truck present in the Forge Mode recreation nor are there any patrol guards.
Spiral Mountain in “Banjo-Kazooie”
Forge has also seen the rise of the Spiral Mountain in Forge Mode. Redditor llamajuice created the iconic location in “Banjo-Kazooie” has veen created in a custom map that appears to be an improvement of the creator’s previous attempt in “Halo: Combat Evolved.”
According to GameRant, the tools in Forge Mode via “Halo 5: Guardians” are able to cater to the detail needed to recreate the site. The creator is allowing people to download the Spiral Mountain map, as he can be reached via the official Reddit page link.
