‘Halo 5: Guardians’ is a game changer in terms of story, features and vehicles
Following all of the reveals that Microsoft and developer 343 Industries have unveiled regarding “Halo 5: Guardians,” there’s still a lot more for fans to discover. And apparently, these are all set to change the way the players will experience and explore the galaxy of the upcoming title.
Forbes has rolled out the start of a series of new interviews with 343 Industries. Here, the developer talks about the upcoming game, and how it plans to change the galaxy. “Halo 5: Guardians” will bring in some surprising elements, considering the fact that his being absent and dead are introduced in the TV commercial and the Hunt the Truth audio series.
All of the buildup for “Halo 5: Guardians” will introduce major change, set to forever change the lore of the franchise. What these changes are, the developer has never gone into full detail. But a lot can be said about how 343 Industries and Microsoft are marketing and slowly exposing the little truths behind the Halo galaxy and its inhabitants.
The changes and developments in “Halo 5: Guardians” are not limited to its fiction and features. Developer 343 Industries has recently released a new blog post detailing some new vehicles coming to the game.
There are four alien vehicles introduced by 343 Industries. The Banshee has seen a couple of upgrades, the most notable of which is the energy shield. The T-54 Rapid Attack Vehicle, also known as the Ghost, now offers its riders more protection and better performance when engaging in ground battles.
The dropship vehicle Phantom came from the Malurok Army, the Kolaar Manufactorum and the Achoem Weapons. These have an aquatic inspiration to their designs. Finally, the Wraiths, or the T-58 Light Assault Gun Carriage is an artillery vehicle that has seen an overhaul in design that will reportedly benefit those from the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Apart from the new vehicles, the developer has also updated fans on the new features that came with the updated Halo Channel mobile app. 343 Industries has embedded more of the lore into the mobile, so that fans can pore over the catalogue of characters, vehicles, weapons and other aspects of the Halo world even on the go. The Halo Channel app continues to expand with the addition of new information about “Halo 5: Guardians.
There are also some new features that add to the app’s functionality. Fans who want to know about the activities and updates in the community can do so via the Halo Waypoint blog accessibility. These will include any recent dev diaries, community updates, Canon Fodder updates and even videos to help prepare for the upcoming game.
