Yesterday, news broke out of a possible Halo 5 in production, dubbed with the title "Halo: Spartan Assault Revealed."

For those who were crossing their fingers, it's a false alarm--but Windows 8 device owners can rejoice, because the rumored project is headed for Windows 8 this July.

Eurogamer reports that Halo: Spartan Assault has the spirit of arcade shooters with the story taking off between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4.

You can also customize loadout, choose your weapons, enjoy in-game earnings and achievements, and, as teased, be surprised by unlockables within the game.

"Traditionally players have always enjoyed that first-person shooter experience, but you've more or less been tethered to your living room television set," said 343 Industries executive producer Dan Ayoub told Eurogamer. "We wanted to make Halo literally mobile."

What's more, the game has been optimized to run on any Windows 8 device, meaning tablets, smartphones, and PCs, be it touch screen or with a mouse, you can play the game. The report even adds that support for the Xbox 360 controller on the PC version may come within weeks following the launch.

No multiplayer has been reported at launch, but the production team has been thinking about adding the feature once the game has been launched. Expect leaderboards and weekly challenges though.

The Walking Dead headed for Season 2?

If there's a game that Telltale Games can bank on making a buzz, it has to be The Walking Dead, which fans have been clamoring for a second season way before the first game was even over and done for.

Now, the six-seconder Vine video clip from Telltale Games' official Twitter account, captioned "Day 2," may actually point to the second season of the game, reports Videogamer, as fans have already started to speculate on.

However, note that the last word that anyone has heard about The Walking Dead as far as the game was concerned was that a little something extra will be in store this year, with plans for a second season having been parked for a later date.

Fable Anniversary confirmed, to launch this year

When Lionhead Studios announced an HD anniversary version of Fable for the Xbox 360, it wasn't kidding about the enhancement and improvements for the new version.

What's something of note are the new features integrated into the game. GameSpot reports that the anniversary version as well as the Lost Chapters DLC will have SmartGlass integration, with the entire game running on the Unreal 3 Engine and having a new lighting system and new systems for enhanced graphics.

It seems that the Fable Anniversary game is another one that you can expect at the Microsoft panel come the E3 2013.

Check out the teaser trailer, where it seems that the remake of Fable actually sprang forth from requests in Twitter, directing the studio towards the direction that Fable Anniversary actually took.
