'Harry Potter' Book Series Author Apologises For The Death Of One Character, More To Come Later
The author of the popular “Harry Potter” series, J.K. Rowling, has apologised for the “ire” that some of the fans may have felt for the death of one of the characters. The celebrity author has so far not confirmed that she will work on a book 8 in the series. [Spoiler alert]
J.K. Rowling has been very active on Twitter, to make announcements about her new projects and also to connect with her fans. Her most recent post on “Harry Potter” is an apology for writing the death of Fred. “Today I would just like to say: I'm really sorry about Fred,” the author said in the tweet. She also stated that she “bows” her head “in acceptance” of all the “reasonable ire” the fans may have experienced.
Fans of the franchise will remember Fred as one of the Weasley twins who left Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to go into business along with his brother George. The school was under Dolores Umbridge at that time and the twins wrecked havoc in the school with their magical products that were sold to children. Fred was later killed in the final battle against Lord Voldemort.
Some of the fans were not happy with J.K. Rowling’s decision to feel sorry for the death of just Fred alone, as there were many popular characters in the books series who lost their lives. One of the fans, Brieuc Toudic, pointed out that the deaths of characters like Tonks and Lupin were also painful for the “Harry Potter” fans.
J.K. Rowling replied to this question of the fans by saying that she started with an apology for the death of Fred because that was the “worst” for her. She promised to apologise for the other deaths later. “I thought I might apologise for one death per anniversary,” she said.
J.K. Rowling is currently busy writing the script for the “Harry Potter” spinoff “Fantastic Beats and Where to Find Them.” The title of the movie is from a book written by a character called Newt Scamander, who is the protagonist in the book series.
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” chronicles the adventures of Newt Scamander, as he travels to New York. There is also a reference to the book in the “Harry Potter” series, where the book is a part of the list of books the young students have to purchase before arriving at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
